With the completion of civil works for Stage 2, our colleagues from Bielby have demobilised from site. They have been valued members of the Wambo project family. Before he left, we caught up with Brent Alleby, General Superintendent, to discuss the project and what he loved about working on site.

Brent was responsible for overseeing Bielby’s on-site delivery at Wambo Wind Farm, including workforce management, equipment coordination and day-to-day liaison with Vestas, who engaged Bielby to deliver site infrastructure and access works.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Brent brought a practical, team-focused approach to the project. He played a key role in ensuring collaboration across contractors and maintaining steady progress on a complex and fast-moving site.

“That’s what it’s about,” he says. “Being open and honest. Never stop talking.”

Wambo Wind Farm marked Brent’s first major renewables project, aligning with his interest in building long-term, future-focused infrastructure that delivers lasting community benefit.

He said the project also deepened his appreciation for the broader shift to renewables.

“This is about the future – for us, and for our families.”
