Concrete Success: Jandowae Showgrounds Pavilion Completed
Concrete Success: Jandowae Showgrounds Pavilion Completed

As we marked the pouring of the last foundation for our project, our teams valued the opportunity to be part of something that will leave a legacy for the Jandowae community.
Congratulations to the Jandowae Showground Management Committee, local businesses, and volunteers who turned out last Saturday in their gumboots, with shovels and screens, to help concrete the Jandowae Showground Pavilion. The committee, supported by the Western Downs Regional Council, Dale Berghofer and his crew, and McClelland Concrete Pumping, turned their vision for a new floor into a reality. We are excited about the many ways this facility can now be used for sporting activities and events in the future.
A big shout out to the volunteers who moved all the items out of the pavilion and prepped the site. Everyone put in an enormous effort to make this happen with the show just around the corner.
Special thanks to the Jandowae & District Show Society team and member Neil Farmilo, who met with Peter Gibson, Project Manager, during a Wambo meet and greet in Jandowae, prior to Christmas. Kudos to Peter Gibson and Site Engineer, Matt Tait, who coordinated the logistics with our Principal Contractor Vestas, the Joint Venture members from Stanwell and Cubico, Regional Group, and Redimix.
The pavilion is a testament to the history of Jandowae and the incredible community spirit and hard work that has transformed an old airport hangar, originally brought into Jandowae in pieces on the back of a train, over decades. We are pleased to have been part of this project and are thrilled that it has been completed just in time for the upcoming Jandowae Show on Saturday, 22 March. The show promises to be a fantastic day out for the entire family, featuring Yard Dog Trials, Dino Encounters, and the impressive Horses and Stud Cattle competitions, among other exciting events.
