On their way! First wind turbine components touch down at Wambo Wind Farm

The first of Wambo Wind Farm’s many wind turbine component deliveries arrived at site earlier this week, signalling a significant milestone for the Stanwell and Cubico owned project.
The transportation route is being tested due to its significant logistical undertaking.
The first delivery of many over the next 12 months, the ‘test’ left the Port of Brisbane carrying a turbine blade just after 10pm and arrived to the Wambo Wind Farm site at between 5am and 6am.
A second test run carrying a base component of one of the wind turbines is scheduled to take place between the 8th of October and the 10th of October.
Following this, a regular delivery schedule will be established and it is anticipated that the deliveries for two complete turbines will make the journey from the Port to Diamondy each week.
We would like to thank the community and our project neighbours for their patience and support throughout the project.
